The station needed a mark to promote their series on Pittsburgh's 250th Anniversary, and I tried to cram as much local symbolism into it as I could. The shape suggests a keystone and old-time microphone flags, while the type says "sports" without much subtlety.
Shown here printed on a stainless steel travel mug. I'm told this was a popular item at pledge time, but anything that enables NPR listeners to drink coffee wherever they are is bound to be a hit.
